Join Claire for this calming, nourishing restorative candle lit yoga immersion. An opportunity to rest and release deeply held tension to help reset mind, breath and body.
Restorative yoga is a slow, gentle, floor-based style of yoga which supports our nervous system and helps to bring us to a state of calm and balance. It is characterised by the use of props to completely support the body which enables long but effortless holdings of each pose. This allows the body to soften and release deeply-held tension, shifts the nervous system into relaxation (or rest and digest mode) and enables a deep connection with the breath. Restorative yoga supports healing and rejuvenation of the body along with calmness and evenness of the mind so can help to relieve stress, aid sleep and support recovery from illness or injury.
The class will begin with relaxation and very gentle stretches before moving into the restorative section. Claire will be on hand to help you find the optimal comfort and alignment for your body in each pose.
