About the event
The origins of the Cold Moon in December come from the traditions of the Mohawk people and it symbolized the onset of winter. It was a time when the native American tribes would prepare themselves to endure the bitter cold to come, it was a time of emotional release, reflection, conversation, storytelling and a time to focus on nurturing themselves in readiness for the spring.
This cold, bright moon of December is a reminder for us all to slow down, breathe a little deeper, be a little more present and find comfort in our own personal space and practice, especially at this busy time of year when we can lose ourselves in the bustle of Christmas and it’s celebrations.
December’s Full Moon asks us to find tranquillity and stillness within ourselves and just as nature slows down, we are encouraged to do the same so that we can conserve our energies and gather our strength for the times to come, so that we can be just that little bit more present in our lives.
What to expect from our evening together- A full body releasing Yin practice giving you time to yourself to reflect, resolve and let go of what no longer serves you. To make this evening just that little bit more magical, Laura will interweave folklore and stories throughout the class to inspire you towards a step towards a lighter life.
